For Sale by Owner

Until recent times most everyone hired a realtor when they wanted to sell a home. Today the internet is changing that tendency since it is possible to advertise to large numbers of people by posting on any one of the for sale by owner sites.  

Here is an excellent site that offers a first class education about the in's and out's of selling by owner.

The site is dense and filled with value for anyone motivated enough to take the plunge into this tough market with foreclosures, short sales and seemingly endless good buys to consider. 

Some tips on this site include practical information about those signs that let potential buyers know that you are selling. Use a professional sign that looks like you are serious. Buyers do drive neighborhoods looking for houses for sale. Often they are not working with an agent. And they do judge you by your sign.  

Yes it can be intimidating to take on this job when you are a novice and only selling one home... yours.  However it's a home you know a lot about, and when you keep your ears and eyes open you will learn quickly what needs to be fixed, changed or updated. 

Remember every new endeavor has a stress factor and you can use EFT to help you overcome fear and resistance. Do your homework and think about that big smile on your face on closing day. See yourself sitting in the bank signing those papers and receiving your check with that even bigger broad smile of satisfaction because you sold your house yourself. Do pat yourself on the back for having the courage to leap into the unknown.
