We live in the land of the Free, Right? Perhaps not so much. In many ways we are loosing our financial freedom and our inner peace of mind. Our resources drained away by large oil companies and funding wars while countless Americans cannot keep up with the demands of the lifestyles they consider vital to their wellbeing.
I would like to focus on the right to discern what is true for each one of us and raise awareness about our increasing loss of mental freedom. Hypnosis is a tool for freeing the mind of troubling thoughts that lead to disturbing feelings. It can be used successfully for changing negative habits and for creating overall well-being. Certified Hypnotists are trained to assist their clients who desire to shed some body fat or to cease destructive habits like smoking. Hypnosis is not mind control but it is accessing the state of mind when high levels of suggestibility can occur. It is a safe and effective method for making changes that are desired when the consulting hypnotist is skilled and morally competent.
Having said that I would like to suggest that less reputable hypnosis or high levels of suggestibility abound in our age of technological advancement. These tools are called advertisements, movies, television programs, music lyrics, computer images and information that circulate constantly, to name but a few ways that we are consistently and deeply hypnotized into believing all manner of questionable ideas and information that may or may not be true for us. Even this post is subject to this reality. So I suggest that you accept only that which is true for you and ignore that which is outside of your acceptable range of beliefs. However if you do choose to accept what I am putting out there for your consideration please process it through your own wise mind and put it to the test of your own experience.
I believe that hypnosis occurs without our even noticing. I would like you to consider the effectiveness of Billboards, which are designed to catch the sight of every passerby. One cannot move through roads without observing the boards along the highway. Billboard advertising is advertising done on a great scale which is larger than any other source. It aims at attracting a large group of people moving on the streets. Billboards create a different impression on the minds of the people who rapidly take in their message. Big companies cannot get famous without advertising on these boards. In that one jiffy glance, the viewer is informed of the message the company wants to give. Billboards have proved to be one of the most successful ways of presenting the ads for any product. They have generated a great amount of income for the companies who use them.
When is the last time you recall actually consciously reading a billboard? Our minds have the capacity to load images and ideas faster than high speed Internet. And we can become motivated to respond to these messages due to a deep inner belief that we will benefit when there is no real evidence to support such an action. This is one of the more widely used methods used for turning Americans into the expert consumers that we have become to our detriment. It is subliminal and passive and it gets in to the unconscious mind without our even noticing that it has occurred. Now I ask you to recall even one billboard that you have read consciously in recent times. Yet they are still out there everywhere and would not be if they did not have a profound effect upon the market place and our minds.
Since I live in the one state to my knowledge that allows no billboards anywhere, it is disturbing to my mind when I travel out of the state and get a cosmic blast from one after another of these demanding message boards. When I re-enter the state there is always a surprising relief when the boards cease to exist along my path on my way home. Trees are so much more soothing to the mind.
I suggest that you consider raising your awareness about the hypnotic suggestions that abound in the world around you. Since they are everywhere and coming at you from all sides, you cannot avoid them and live a modern lifestyle, but you can develop an effective filter by using the power of your own mind to discern through questioning and by setting your intention to do so.

Have you seen the billboards that change before your eyes? They show one ad and then the whole thing moves to display another ad. I've even seen this type of billboard on a large van in traffic. It's distracting.
My senses are so bombarded and over stimulated by advertising when I'm driving down the road. Sometimes I can't "see" my destination in the blaze of colorful signs and blinking lights and go right by it.
We don't have to be a victim of visual or auditory pollution as I call it. You're right, it is a loss of "mental freedom."
Hypnosis that is self-empowering provides a great way to counter the brainwashing by the advertising and marketing gurus. Your CD's are a good choice too for quieting the mind chatter that gets stimulated by these outside sources. My whole family loves them!
