Over the Rainbow

We are living in a time when there is great focus on creating our ultimate dreams. We are told that if we place our attention upon what we desire and cease to talk about or grumble about what it is that we don’t want, all will be ours. Eventually.

Hmmmm. How long is eventually? Well that depends upon our ability to retain our focus in a one pointed manner. If we go back and forth we confuse the Universal Mind and delay getting what we want so badly.

Did you ever try not to think about what you don’t want?   Not so easy to avoid those concerns is it? It has also been said that the negative is much less powerful than the positive, so we are not to be so concerned about how much of it slips in and dominates our thoughts. We are to keep up the effort of positive belief none the less, as much as we possibly can. To this I wholeheartedly agree.

My mother used to say this, “It all works out in the end you just have to live long enough.” At first blush that may seem like a negative thought but it is still believing in the outcome you are focusing on. And it encourages continued zest for life. My siblings and I carry this idea in our belief systems and it serves us well because all we have to do is keep living and all will be well. Not such a bad focus.

I suppose it is a belief that could use a bit of tweaking but a long held belief isn’t so easily transformed. But let’s take a look at a minor adjustment for fun. How about “It all works out before you die.” Or “It all has to work out because you are still alive.” o in that regard I want to state that I have always gotten what I have wanted… eventually. And that is what I expect. Eventually. And I would like you to know that five years ago I decided that I wanted a change in lifestyle and I wanted a warmer climate than Vermont where I have lived for the last 14 years or Michigan where I was born and grew up.

Now a mere 5 years later my family and I are on our way to Asheville, NC with an arrival date of August 22, 2008. If you are reading this after August 22nd you can reach me by calling 828.505.4514.

I am currently collecting the repetitive statements or sayings that have shaped your life. These statements have great power and are often beneath the level of awareness where they are operating in the other than conscious mind.

These are either serving you and your creations or they are holding you back. You can email me

In the meantime I’m on my way over the Rainbow Where Blue Birds Fly. And that would be the Blue Bird of Happiness where I expect to Smile Endlessly.

Bless you all,

Kathy

Freedom To Discern

Foxhole We live in the land of the Free, Right?  Perhaps not so much.  In many ways we are loosing our financial freedom and our inner peace of mind. Our resources drained away by large oil companies and funding wars while countless Americans cannot keep up with the demands of the lifestyles they consider vital to their wellbeing.

I would like to focus on the right to discern what is true for each one of us and raise awareness about our increasing loss of mental freedom. Hypnosis is a tool for freeing the mind of troubling thoughts that lead to disturbing feelings. It can be used successfully for changing negative habits and for creating overall well-being. Certified Hypnotists are trained to assist their clients who desire to shed some body fat or to cease destructive habits like smoking. Hypnosis is not mind control but it is accessing the state of mind when high levels of suggestibility can occur. It is a safe and effective method for making changes that are desired when the consulting hypnotist is skilled and morally competent.

Having said that I would like to suggest that less reputable hypnosis or high levels of suggestibility abound in our age of technological advancement. These tools are called advertisements, movies, television programs, music lyrics, computer images and information that circulate constantly, to name but a few ways that we are consistently and deeply hypnotized into believing all manner of questionable ideas and information that may or may not be true for us. Even this post is subject to this reality. So I suggest that you accept only that which is true for you and ignore that which is outside of your acceptable range of beliefs. However if you do choose to accept what I am putting out there for your consideration please process it through your own wise mind and put it to the test of your own experience.

I believe that hypnosis occurs without our even noticing. I would like you to consider the effectiveness of Billboards, which are designed to catch the sight of every passerby. One cannot move through roads without observing the boards along the highway. Billboard advertising is advertising done on a great scale which is larger than any other source. It aims at attracting a large group of people moving on the streets. Billboards create a different impression on the minds of the people who rapidly take in their message. Big companies cannot get famous without advertising on these boards. In that one jiffy glance, the viewer is informed of the message the company wants to give. Billboards have proved to be one of the most successful ways of presenting the ads for any product. They have generated a great amount of income for the companies who use them.

When is the last time you recall actually consciously reading a billboard? Our minds have the capacity to load images and ideas faster than high speed Internet. And we can become motivated to respond to these messages due to a deep inner belief that we will benefit when there is no real evidence to support such an action. This is one of the more widely used methods used for turning Americans into the expert consumers that we have become to our detriment. It is subliminal and passive and it gets in to the unconscious mind without our even noticing that it has occurred. Now I ask you to recall even one billboard that you have read consciously in recent times. Yet they are still out there everywhere and would not be if they did not have a profound effect upon the market place and our minds.

Since I live in the one state to my knowledge that allows no billboards anywhere, it is disturbing to my mind when I travel out of the state and get a cosmic blast from one after another of these demanding message boards. When I re-enter the state there is always a surprising relief when the boards cease to exist along my path on my way home. Trees are so much more soothing to the mind.

I suggest that you consider raising your awareness about the hypnotic suggestions that abound in the world around you. Since they are everywhere and coming at you from all sides, you cannot avoid them and live a modern lifestyle, but you can develop an effective filter by using the power of your own mind to discern through questioning and by setting your intention to do so.

Procrastination or Time to Chill

The subject of procrastination is currently getting a lot of attention. It is also, in my humble opinion being wrongly self diagnosed in many cases. As leading edge creators attempting to manifest through the great Universal Law of Attraction our abundance and ideal lives, we can push ourselves over the edge and into a freefall of distress, overwork, and burnout. This would be a misuse of the ideas of attraction and manifesting our hearts desires.

It's a tough call to really know if there is a energy block from some earlier event in life that holds us back by setting up an inner fear or if we are just pushing too hard and starting to shut down. Since both conditions can feel similar we cannot always use our emotional guidance system to tell us what will help us feel better.

In this case it is my suggestion that you apply the Emotional Freedom Techniques to help you gain clarity about your situation. You can go to www.emofree.com and click on the Newcomers tab to learn more or you can of course call me 802-767-3734  or visit www.kathyheatley.com and I will be happy to help you learn how to use this highly effective self help tool.

Having said that let me get back to procrastination and the attention it is getting as we forge forward toward abundance. I believe that it is the job of our country to expand the limits of abundance into the future. Currently we are experiencing setback in the flow of financial freedom. I won't go into that here since most people get it and feel it already.

Sometimes we just need to wait for the Universe to bring things into alignment for us before we can move forward, and no amount of pushing is going to speed that process and in fact the pushing will likely impede our efforts. Patience really is a useful virtue. So what is it that holds you back? procrastination? or lack of patience? it gets complicated.

Again EFT is an answer because this simple energy tool of tapping with the fingertips on energy meridian comfort points brings clarity to the mind and then it is possible to really know how to proceed. Taking action or exercising patience becomes a clearer path.

Your unconscious mind knows all the right answers since it is connected to the collective unconscious or the great mind of God. EFT is an effective tool for accessing the deep inner mind for guidance and it is unfailing when you can trust yourself to know what you know. No other system is as accurate as your mind. No one else can tell you what is best for you. That is your job. Your job to learn to know yourself. And if you don't know where to begin consider EFT because it's rapid and easy to learn and can be applied to anything you can think of, and some things you might never imagine.

Either way you go toward healing procrastination or healing your lack of patience by releasing fear consider easing up on yourself. Take the practical step of learning more about EFT (inexpensive if money is an issue) and asking for Universal Divine Guidance toward your best method for improving your life and applying the Spiritual Laws of Abundance while cultivating peace of mind. Smell all those roses that you can, pet your cat, love your children and appreciate looking upward toward a clear blue sky with fluffy white clouds. When the eyes are looking up it is not possible to feel down since you are processing information from a very different part of your brain that can only serve you and uplift you.

Be Well, it's easier than you might think,

Feel Good Right Now

Your thoughts can make you smile and your thoughts can cause you to frown and you always have a choice about what you think, no matter what you think when you read that sentence. Whereby most of us believe that on some level we can choose how we look at a situation, we might find that difficult to apply, when a stress situation starts taking over.  For instance when we are caught in a traffic jam on the freeway and the next exit of escape is ten miles up the road and we are inching along slower than we could leisurely walk.

It's wise to have a pre practiced mental escape plan for such aggravating situations. Just like we have to practice a fire escape plan in order to avoiding rushing out the front door in a fire emergency and getting burned. The mind needs to be prepared through practice. One person that I know carried a bottle of bubbles in her glove compartment, as insurance for aggravating Chicago traffic jams. She would simply open her window and blow bubbles for others to enjoy.  She began to enjoy those precious opportunities to be the entertainment amidst the freeway traffic jams. Children would point to the bubbles and laugh and adults would lighten up at least for a few moments.

The mental condition called hypnosis is defined by the state of hightened suggestibility or the ability to accept new information. Several conditions open the mind for hypnotic suggestion. One state is relaxation and another is pain. When we are in physical or emotional pain we are much more receptive to new methods of getting beyond the pain. Aggravation is an emotionally painful event and can be a time of hightened suggestibility. Hence the bubbles of distraction carried the ability to change a mind state because the hypnotic trance of aggravation was likely present.

So the next time you find yourself in a traffic jam consider taking out that bottle of bubbles and entertain your mind. You might just find that a life changing hypnotic event has taken place that will serve you well in other times of aggravation, for you will have opened up to a new thought and a positive solution for enduring what you cannot change anyway.

The mind is a precious gift and must not be squandered on negative thoughts. Each morning set your intention to have a productive happy day. Chances are you will find yourself smiling endlessly.
